 Lunar New Year – many shops and restaurants are closed on the first day of the Lunar New Year and only opened for half a day on the eve of the Lunar New Year.

Singapore Dollar (SGD$) is the local currency. Cards and contactless payments are widely accepted. Smaller stores such as those in hawker centres tend to accept cash only.
